Is Datally open source?

The app itself is not, but the ecosystem around it is — demo datasets, rule templates, and model configs are community-contributed and freely shared, and the roadmap is shaped in the open.

Is my data safe?

The desktop app runs entirely on your machine, with all AI processing local via Ollama — your data never leaves your infrastructure. The online demo processes server-side and deletes everything after each 30-minute session.

Will it stay free?

Core standardization features (mapping, translation, validation, consolidation) stay accessible. Future paid tiers will focus on team collaboration, batch automation, and enterprise support — with 60 days notice before any change.

How do I contribute?

Email community@datally.io with feedback, issues, datasets, or templates. We review every submission and credit contributors.
