What this policy covers
This policy explains how Datally handles information when you visit datally.io, purchase or activate a license, request a download, contact us, or use a Datally-hosted online demo.
The desktop application is local-first: source files are processed on your device unless you deliberately choose an online demo, cloud model, or other network service.
Information we collect
Purchases: name, email, optional company, billing details handled by Stripe, Stripe checkout and payment identifiers, plan, amount, currency, and fulfillment status. Datally does not store full payment-card numbers.
Licensing: license key, machine identifier, activation and validation timestamps, application version, operating-system information, hostname, seat usage, and license status.
Website and support: information you submit in download, trial, contact, or support forms; basic request and security logs; and website usage information supplied by our hosting and analytics providers.
Online demo: files and workflow data you intentionally submit to the hosted demo. Do not submit data you are not authorized to process.
How we use information
We use information to process purchases, issue and deliver licenses, enforce seat limits, validate access, provide downloads and support, secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, comply with legal obligations, and improve Datally.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the contents of desktop source files for advertising or model training.
Processors and disclosures
We use service providers to operate Datally, including Stripe for payment processing, Resend for transactional email, and hosting, database, content-delivery, monitoring, and analytics providers. They process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect Datally and its users, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction. We share only what is reasonably necessary for the purpose.
Retention and security
We retain purchase, license, activation, and support records as needed to provide the product, meet accounting and legal requirements, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Hosted-demo data is intended to be temporary; you should not treat the demo as a storage service.
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for securing files and license keys stored on your own systems.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also opt out of marketing email; transactional license and security messages are necessary to provide the service.
To make a privacy request, email privacy@datally.io from the address associated with your records. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when legally required.
Email privacy@datally.io to submit a request.
International use and children
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards. Datally is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product or law changes. We will post the revised date here and provide additional notice when appropriate.
Questions or requests can be sent to privacy@datally.io. Purchase and product support is available at support@datally.io.
